Mondays are incredibly depressing, so here’s to hoping this look on the blog makes yours a little cheerier. There are a few things you won’t believe about how this outfit came together, 1) I needed to go to the grocery store and 2) I had no where to go after that. I basically dressed up for little to no reason at all, considering I normally go to the grocery with wet hair and sporting sweat pants.
The top I got for a steal from Clothing Shop Online, I also have it in Maroon and the pants are of course, from the Gap, where I get most of my pants. I paired it with a Juicy Couture necklace, the Kate Spade Lainey purse and these adorable snake printed loafers from the Gap. To be honest when I bought these loafers I thought I would wear them all the time because they are so incredibly cute, but they are so dressy at the same time it’s hard to find an everyday excuse to wear them. I’m excited though, that I FINALLY found an outfit they fit well. Out of everything I’m wearing I would say the top is the item I wear the most, I shop at Clothing Shop Online for my basics because they are of strong quality and truly at the best prices on the internet. Well, that’s all for now, but check back soon for more fun looks!
One of my favorite sweaters was actually a hand-me-down from my roommate. She was about to throw it away and I asked to keep it. It’s incredibly simple, just a basic gray sweater with a lamb on it. I typically wear it with black jeans. Since it is cold out I layered it with a tank underneath and an Abecrombie kids (yes, that’s right I said Abercrombie Kids) jean jacket on top. I threw a necklace over it to dress it up a little. I love this outfit because it’s a combination of a variety of pieces. The sweater is a recent hand-me-down, the jeans are relatively new, within the year, and the jacket I got probably when I was in middle school. My shoes are flats (I’ll do anything to avoid wearing heels) that I scored at Kohl’s a few months ago for under $20.
Today i’m loving this perfect little fur vest from American Eagle! It’s under $100 and easy to add to a variety of different outfits. I love that it’s a light color so it doesn’t just blend in with darker hues that are often worn in the fall and winter.
Also, boots are a fall essential. I’ve picked out these boots from Target because they are classic AND affordable. They not only go with this ensemble but probably most of your favorite outfits this fall. You likely still have a denim shirt lying around from back when it was a HUGE trend. It’s a classic and fashionable look. If your place of work is casual you can easily pull of this look or just add the vest for Happy Hour after work. That’s what I really love about this look, by putting the vest on or off you can totally adapt to the occasion.
Good luck finding your little fur vest for fall!
